When you read this book, you feel how the author lives at the intersection of worlds - between the poetic romantic space of love and the sweetly painful reality of everyday life. This is exactly how Ms. Iryna is presented in our project: Ukraine and Italy, poetry and prose, painting and word, working with the texts of others and writing her own books. Her first poetry collection, "Casa di Puzzle / House of Puzzles", became that very home which the reader enters not only for rhymes, but for the experience of a person who truly lives “between two worlds.”
"Casa di Puzzle" is built like a real apartment house. Each poem functions as a separate room with its own atmosphere: somewhere the voices of cities can be heard, somewhere a view of the sea opens up, somewhere a personal story is hidden that can only be felt between the lines. The lives of the characters and of the author herself are concealed behind, at first glance, light rhymes, yet behind this lightness stands an attentive and profound взгляд on everyday life.
The book is written in Ukrainian and Italian. This is not simply self-translation, but an inner dialogue between two languages in which one voice resonates.
